Scott Diener
Scott accepted a faculty position at the University of Auckland in June of 2001, and
moved to the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences in January 2002.
In February 2003 he became Director of the university's online
learning system.
His interests include
karate, classical and blues guitar, bone carving, and of course, sailing.

Kelley Diener
Kelley is now a
full-time artist. She works with
oils, acrylics, and other media. She has opened her own successful art
studio on Waiheke Island. She plays guitar, sings, and has composed
numerous songs about our sailing adventures.

Brett Armstrong
Our son Brett is now
living in Auckland and is in his final undergraduate year at the University
of Auckland. Brett is studying
to be a writer and philanthropist. He sails locally with us and sailed on Sounding Free from San Diego thru
Mexico, French Polynesia and American Samoa. |

Dave
Boatman
Dave and I met in the Navy in 1971, and have been best friends since. He
sailed with me from Fiji to New Zealand, and in all, crewed on Sounding Free
for 9 months. Dave is currently a manager for West Marine in Newport
Beach, CA.

Mark Jensen
Mark, Dave and I have
been best friends for almost 30 years. Mark is CEO and owner of Jentec Engineering, an injection-molding and
plastics engineering firm in Anaheim, California. Mark sailed with me
from Tonga to Fiji, which was one of the few times he had been out of his
truck and off the cell phone. |
